About

I’m a Christian who has a passion for writing.  I’m a wife and a mom to two exciting, handsome boys living in the great state of Texas.  I say “y’all” instead of “you” and “soda” instead of “pop”.  I don’t live on a ranch or farm (my mom has horses) and I don’t drive a truck either, although I did at one time … before kids.

I have always been a writer.  As a young girl of eight or nine I wrote plays staring all my stuffed animals.  I drew the pictures, wrote the play, assembled the cast and told them when to enter and exit.  I used to play “school” during summer vacations and actually wrote reports such as the main export for South America, complete with colored maps… for fun.  I probably wasn’t your typical child.  Dolls were for other girls.

I write to communicate because I tend to be shy and I can say more on paper than I can in person, fewer interruptions.  I write to pour out my heart to God.  I write to express myself and if I were told I could not write I would explode.  I must write.

A lot of poems reveal my sometimes not so pretty soul and the condition of my heart; my innermost workings. I write snippets of short stories or stories of what’s going on in real life.  I hope you find my writing thought provoking.  Yes, I know that my grammar sucks but I hope you are able to move past that.

My goal is to paint pictures with words of emotions, thoughts and ideas for the eyes that have not yet seen it nor experienced it.  Perhaps it has been experienced but you couldn’t put it in words.  I give wings those emotions that need to fly.

I am a Christian not a saint… yet.  I have sinned.  I will sin again.

“I am a little pencil in the hand of a writing God who is sending a love letter to the world.” Mother Teresa

‎“In the deepest hour of the night, confess to yourself that you would die if you were forbidden to write. And look deep into your heart where it spreads its roots, the answer, and ask yourself, must I write?’ R.M Rilke
